Shipping Costs
Most of the continental United States will enjoy our flat rate shipping of $9.95. Orders from the west coast states, California, Oregon, and Washington will be automatically charged a flat rate of $12.95. Order all you want, the shipping cost will be the same!
*Alaska, Hawaii, and US Territories will be charged the International Rate of $14.95 and subject to actual additional costs for shipping. Be sure to read the information below regarding purchases made outside the continental US for additional information.
Shipping Time
At Garden Party Teas we constantly strive to offer the best possible customer service. Your order will most likely be shipped from our stockrooms within 72 hours. Often times we are able to offer expedited shipping if your situation demands it.
Our system will automatically charge you postage for standard shipping. If you want the order expedited, contact us. We will put your order together, weigh and calculate postage, and call or email to advise you of the additional cost.
Express Mail
If you require next day or second day delivery, call us (1-800-883-9540) for a quote. We will need to know the items and quantities you are ordering and the zip code of the ship-to destination. We will call you back with the additional cost of Express Mail.
About 15% of the orders we receive are shipped via FedEx (and occasionally UPS). This method is used when the amount paid for shipping is insufficient to cover the cost of Priority Mail. Determining factors are distance, weight, and package size. If you believe that your order may be shipped FedEx or UPS, please supply a physical address (not a P.O. Box).
Back-Orders
Most of the products on this web site are inventory controlled preventing you from purchasing more items than are in stock. Open stock items do not carry this control. And while we try to have sufficient quantities, very occasionally an item will not be in stock in sufficient quantities to fill an order. Should this occur, you will be notified within 24 hours. We will work with you to assure your satisfaction supplying you with a restocking date, suggesting alternatives, or offering a refund.

Most orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail. The Post Office indicates 2 to 3 days for delivery using this method. We do not make guarantees for their delivery times but have generally found the service to be excellent.

Apartments and Office Buildings: Packages shipped to apartments and offices will require a signature.
APO and FPO addresses: We deeply appreciate the sacrifices made by our military families and government worker overseas and are happy to ship to these address.
Kentucky Residents: Ky law requires that we collect tax, both on the shipping charges and the purchase price of any taxable items. Our system adds the shipping tax to the shipping charge. The tax on the actual product will appear as a separate line item.
Countries Outside the US and Its Territories: We ship to numerous countries around the world. See policies listed below for details.

Should that not be enough to cover shipping costs, the customers credit card will be debited for the balance. You will be notified of the addition cost in advance. We normally ship Priority International, slightly more costly but assures quicker delivery. Other options may be available and we will notify you of various shipping options and their costs so that you may decide how you want your order shipped.

Teapots and other porcelain products from the United Kingdom will be shipped via airmail. You can expect to receive your teapot within 7 to 10 days. Airmail delivery has proven to be very reliable and safe. U.S. customs forms will be completed with the cost of the teapot minus shipping.
Any Import Duty, if levied, is the responsibility of the customer. We have tried to describe the teapots and mugs to the best of our abilities. If you are not happy with the teapot you receive from the United Kingdom, we will gladly refund your purchase price if the item is returned to us in new, unused condition.
The teapots are very well packed and problems are rare. You will be very pleased with the packing as well as the quality of your purchase.
